I want to share some little knowledge i have on this topic, conversion of DSD files to PCM (wav or compressed, 16 or 24 bit).
Before the 1TB (micro) SD cards were really available i used to convert my DSD files to FLAC 24-bit, mainly to save space and when i had my zx100 because i didnt knew that sonys dsd to pcm conversion was that good that i couldn't tell the difference until i had my wm1A balanced...
I used to use weiss engineering saracon software which is pretty expensive.. and it did a pretty bad job at converting.
Then i switched to dbPoweramp DSD decoder and sounds the best but... if you have DSD 128 or higher and you want to convert them to their corresponding PCM rates lets say DSD128 to 176.4KHz and DSD256 to 384kHz... it will always cut at 50kHz and there is no way to configure this.
Lastly i tried TEAC Hi-res editor and yay it can fully convert a DSD128 to full PCM 192 without any cut-off filter going on

I have been doing tests of converted DSD to FLAC 24/88.2kHz using the dbPower amp DSD decoder.
Surprisingly coean and transparent to original, neither on WM1A, nor in NW-A25 been able to tell a difference.
I use downsamples DSD diles on the NW-A25 walkman from 2015 as it does not support DSD (it doesnt read the extension ,dsf). User guide states maximum 24bit 192kHz
