Any more information about this ? Will it be based on OS or NOS ? Not that i've found. All we know is the home grown Darwin which is rumoured to be an R2R IC and sound very good, nearly at current R8 level but in a copper version chassis of the R6 2020. The R6 2020 is quite a small dap so I suspect this is a trial run before a copper RS8 (in R8 chassis) TOTL dap.

Apparently Hiby have scrapped doing the polished version. To high defect rate.

Shame as I bet it would have looked nice. When are these coming out?

Nice to see both NOS/OS What is the chip that does the interpolations upto 16x and 256 taps length ? FPGA ? This 16X is possibly similar to Neutron instead of the whole sigma delta modulations like AKM

Not the best video but something at least, he says it's Aluminium and not Copper ? or was that going to be just the limited polished one which they scrapped.

Wonderful smooth sound with lots of similarities to the N6ii R01, sound is maybe a little thicker with a little more low end impact. You can't go wrong with either really, RS6 a bit faster with Android 9 and always a line out. N6ii Android 8 but all the module options (one of them being one of the best quality line outs of any dap). Both do upto 384khz so 8 x Oversampling in Neutron on. I've been through every darwin setting and yet to hear a difference between any of them. Maybe its my cold combined with very slight changes. Using in Medium gain in comparison to High gain on the R01 to acheieve a similar dynamic range (not volume) High gain sounds harsher to me on the RS6, odly in contrast medium gain on the R01 is harsh when turned up. It seems that it is copper and not alluminium, the weight difference feels small though between the R6 2020.

P.s. they come with the brown leather case. Anyone who has the green one has been given it (and other stuff) in exchange for favourable reviews and comments.
IMO the reviewers/early adopters don't need buying as its a great and fantastic sounding dap unless they are going to say wonderous things about the darwin thing. If your someone who goes through all the dac filter options and are left feeling 'huh, what did that even do' I would expect you will have the same experience here. However if you normally do pick up on dac filter differences then equally you should here too.

Do you have green case ? Does it has true line out ? Any SRC upto 768Khz features ?

Haha Lol no, just the brown cases here, the guy on head-fi has been bought with the green one It's a true line out, although i've not tried it (no amp to hand) i'll try with a C9 at some point. Marketing says upto 16 x Oversampling or NOS, there is no indication other than the button on or off, also I haven't noticed a difference in sound. Neutron is currently supporting upto 384khz where I do notice a difference.

I'm looking to down size from a Shanling M8.
I'm curious if detail retrieval is enough to satisfy 😁, I know RS8 would top it off, but I'm curious if there is anything in this form factor (RS6) that can compete.
I'm looking forward to your further review, get well soon!
PS Glad to see you pick up that WM1A, I know it's going to good use 😎👏

It's been a while since I heard the M8 (I had it the same time as the R8 and DX220MAX) I liked M8, R8 SS and DX220MAX in that order sound wise. R8 overall with OS / speed / etc taken into consideration. I hope to get an R8 back in at somepoint to compare the two. Thanks buddy, yep, another one to add to the stock of ones to pre-mod once I get the ZX300s done:)

I fell in love with the M8! 😍 Coming from a Hiby R3 to a W1MA to M8 was an intense journey through. Well worth it. Both in sound quality and Weight. 😆
I didn't have a way to try gear without purchasing beforehand, but luckily CanJam came to SoCal so that opened my world up, being able to audition everything and meet peers off the forums.😎
Besides sound, the weight put me off with the M8, felt as if I was holding a dap stack.
(I've tried already with Hiby R3 + Aune B1s/BU1) (Still own and gifted to Wife) (She won Westone W80s @ CanJam) 🤣
I really enjoyed the form factor of the WM1A, and wouldnt mind side stepping to a Lotoo Paw 6000 for that slight extra power with similar charm from small size and simple UI.🤠
However, a palmsized Android DAP with R2R got my head peaking to the left, haha 😗

LOL I triggered a nerve or two on Head-Fi as said it's plainly disingenuous to be sending out the green case to reviewers and placing them above the paying customer. Bottom line the green case looks a lot better and matches the UI, colour me surprised the green case is apparently an optional extra.. Reviewers should get the exact same consumer package, on a solely loan basis and return basis. Suppose at least there's a case in the box unlike some, equally it still comes off as a cheap marketing move by Hiby. Worse if such devices are "gifted" to reviewers as said all bets are off. As by nature some wont want such gravy trains to dry up. DAP's have many facets with the vast majority receiving glowing reviews... Q-6
