That would be cool, not sure there is room for nu-tubes but maybe ones like in the N3Pro - (Raytheon JAN6418 miniature pentode vacuum tubes)

That would make it single ended again right ? If you want dual Korg tube right now, just get the C9

iBasso Audio AMP11 MK2: (Due to transistor shortage)
As we all know, with the end of Q1 in 2021, the global shortage of chips is becoming more and more serious, causing problems in the supply of core components such as SOC, DAC, and crystal oscillator. Many audio manufacturers, including iBasso, have to make new adjustments to the development and production of new products. Although we have already extended the stocking time to half a year or even a year in order to prevent the tension that may occur in the supply chain at any time, unfortunately we still encountered difficulties on AMP11. A certain transistor of AMP11 was informed by the original manufacturer of the entire package. All products had to be discontinued due to supply chain problems, and previous orders could not be delivered to us. Fortunately, the original transistor manufacturer recommends that a replacement model with the same wafer and a different package can be used. Due to the different package sizes, the only change brought about by the two is that the limit output current is changed from 2.7A to 2A. AMP11MK2 adopts the design of discrete component transistors. Compared with OP + BUF (op-amp type) with a maximum output current of only a few hundred or even tens of mA, it still has significant advantages and will bring you a more surging sound experience. Therefore, we launched AMP11 MK2, which will replace AMP11 and become the standard card of DX300. All audio indicators of AMP11MK2, including SNR, THD + N, thrust, etc. are completely consistent with AMP11. Excellent and high standards are still the same! iBasso Audio 2021.3.30

Yesterday tried this baby too, thanks to darginmahkumWas rather a quick meetup, mostly because coronavirus situation, anyways he is a very nice guy. Its a big DAP, like my huge power bank, still able to hold in hand. Display is nice, big, good font. Buttons could’ve been bigger. Test conditions Same card used with DMP, an older Sandisk 400GB IER-M7 w/4.4 stock cable Amp card MK1 Music ranged from Chamber to orchestral, 16/44.1 - 24/96 The overall sound summary: laid back, warm with treble roll-off. I was expecting boring iPod-like sound (because cirrus logic). Bass was a bit too much, mids were present but inner resolution and micro detaiks lacked. Some violin music sounded like older recordings despite being 24/96 and well recorded. Cellist and bassoons had nice texture but well not same as DMP or even wm1A. Imaging and soundstage was pretty avg. I had said it reminded to my wm1A. But now i think clise to A25/zx300

Neutron sounds better to me.

Amp12 is the most dynamic modules up until now. The signatures is tastefully tuned to be a nice mixtures of musicality and detailed. The dedicated LO is mind blowing good. A big bravo for Ibasso

A big bravo for Ibasso Better or different to AMP11 I/II (on headphone out) Better LO as it is dedicated. The imagings, positioning clues, soundscape and dynamic are vastly superior to the Amp11. It turns out that Amp11 only has a pseudo LO which I have suspected for a while Beside this, the Amp12 also is very much capable. It is totally worth it to buy and collect

But now i think clise to A25/zx300 😳 That's because you have to wait for iBasso next update to swap out the four Cirrus CS43198 DAC chips (2ch per chip), to the Japanese highend ROHM BD34301EKV dac chips (also 2ch per chip). Just kidding 😁
