After completing the gold copper R6 2020 for a customer I set to work on creating a black alloy RS6
Side by side sre pictures of the R6 2020 and RS6 board
Virtually no room in there but out come the 2 x Nichicon FW caps and in go Audio Note Kaisei to begin testing.

A custom black Audio Note modded Hiby RS6
Stock RS6 useS 2 x 470uf Nichicon FW capacitors. These are removed.
Mod:
Black Alloy chassis
2 x 100uf Audio Note Kaisei Capacitors
2 x 50uf Audio Note Kaisei Capacitors
2 x 220uf Audio Note Standard (Effectively, 2 x 370uf)

Did this help with the flatter dynamics and the lack of energy in the treble?
A few of my pals have this and that is their big complaint. They seem to love it otherwise.

I managed to hear one. And its just a monster. Stock RS6 might not impress by massive soundstage dimensions of exceptional dynamics. But this Max mod throws it to flagship dap territory.
Bigger battery is also something that is appreciated as my RS6 struggles with more extended listening while streaming. And its not something that you can just top up for 20 minutes before you run. Charging is slow on stock.
With an upgraded battery. You just forget the charging for days if you leave it to charge overnight.

Hi NPAudio.
I recently bought a Hiby RS6 and am very happy with this player. I found out that you are making a mod and I am very interested.
Can you describe what exactly changes in the sound and does it change at all?
Also, tell me how long does this mod take?
