New Luxury & Precision P6 Pro I'm not sure the difference to the standard P6 internally View AttachmentP6 Pro should have touch screen display versus the non touch P6, discrete R2R Ladder DAC will be equivalent to 16 PCM 1704K, basically upgraded spec. Would love a shot of an LP6 but V-Pricey. Q-6

Me too but even though it has an EQ I believe its just 6 presets and no customisable one 🙈

Not sure on the EQ, but would be par for the course. L&P only seem to produce the LP6/L6 in batches once they have enough orders, so not much chance to have a listen. Personally very much doubt I'd pay so much for a DAP. I'd be more inclined to source a used DMP-Z1, or more likely just add to the the herd LOL.

Love to pickup an LP6 at the right price, however extremely unlikely used they are still past $4K. A new P6 is somewhat more affordable although still in the $3K range That said L&P are local to me...
More realistically I'll stick with the R2R2000 for my R2R fix and forgo the frills & features.

Love to hear one too, now I know they have a great EQ. Hope the custom EQ comes to the P6

Don't know as yet and again the P6 is not a very common device available to purchase, let alone audition/review. Best price for a P6 is around $3K with little movement from what I can see. I guess in time that I'll come across an LP6 or P6. Then again it's maybe better not to listen to one, as once you've heard a thing, you can't unhear it, or forget about it like an itch you can never scratch LOL...

Anyone know if the P6 Pro will have a custom EQ ? I know P6 Doesn't but LP6 does.
I know it will be touch screen where normal P6 weirdly isn't and double the R2R DAC Ladder

I was lucky enough to try the P6 version with the wood on sides and vol on top. Frankly, it had the most accurate and desktop like sound out of any DAPs I heard. It also had good output power, much more than my Sony 1z at the time. BUT the price was still a bit ridiculous to me. It had an effortless, semi-laidback presentation, with one of lasgest stage (depth on par with Sony1z) and excellent width(on par with the iBasso220Max) . Although I felt it had the most overall strengths. It wasnt as powerfull as the 220Max, and also nothing was as dynamic as the 220Max. This resulted in the 220Max having more dynamics for a livelier presentation(only less depth) . Also, it wasnt as organic sounding as the Sony, just very clean naturalness. The Sony at the time actually had less width and less treble resolve than both by a touch, with less height. Later firmware (DMT-FE) made the sony as large in height with greater holography than the 200max, but I sold my Sony before the latest firmwatre which addressed the last bit of treble resolve which the 220Max had over the Sony. The 220Max now only has the width and power advantage now. It is debatable if the 200Max has any advantage on the treble resolve like before ( by a small amount) The Sony still has the greater depth. Neither the Sony or the Ibasso beat the P6 in any sonic characteristic of the sound. The P6 was like a reference sound in which you could notice the signatures of the others, BUT I feel it was also this transparent strength that was it's weakness, because both the other units (tested side-by-side, plus the A&K SE200 as well) were actually more enjoyable or made you reach for them more than the P6. So although the P6 may be the most refined, it is not the flashiest or most fun to listen to. Personally, If I could keep two it would be the sony and the ibasso. too bad sony not have enough power for me, because I cannot use IEMs much, and my fav can is the HD800. I was using the sony connected to my tube amp, but now I can move around the house (not outside haha) without needing any amp with the 220Max. I doubt we will see any DAP soon with the dynamics that the 220Max has.
