4.4mm is driven from the inductors (coils) 3.5mm is removed and the main power cap gains a huge boost from an Audio Note Kaisei cap on its place.
AN Kaisei will be on the outputs and a larger battery willl be installed.
p.s. If MS suddenly claim they were working on the same thing last year then 🙈

Finally back modding instead of pratting around with batteries 🙈 ZX300 Extreme Performance Mod complete 😁 Its battery takes a huge leap from 1500mah to 3400mah 🤪 All Audio Note Kaisei Caps. Power cap gets a huge 220uf Kaisei bicapped 👍 Internal plastics cut to accommodate battery. Back cover cut to accomodate Kaisei power cap. Circuit board cut to accomadate direct coil out links. 3.5mm removed and blanked to accommodate Kaisei power cap. And thanks to MrWalkman for the icing on cake with DMP-300

As the proud owner of that modded device (cheers Steve!), I can give a bit of feedback I haven't gotten round to burning it in yet (spending too much time daily listening to my Nayparm Extreme-Modded WM1A, haha), but it's sounding significantly better than the stock ZX300; soundstage expansion, separation and more detail. It's only had I would guess around 10 hours of burn-in, so I'll look forward to updating you once I've finally put a significant number of hours on it

Hello
I want to change the battery of my zx300.
I want if it is possible to change it myself. I've tried taking the ZX300 apart to see if it's not too complicated. I have stopped at the NFC antenna connector as it seems to be stuck tightly.
I also appreciate your photos, which have helped me a lot.
Could you put the same battery that you have put in your mod or do you have to do something else to be able to connect it? I just want it to be as easy as possible, two soldering points and that's it.
This link from your forum was passed to me by MrWalkman, and I am very grateful for his help as well.
Greetings from Spain and thanks for reading me

Greatings from UK Yes once you unclip the plastic cover the NFC cable is stuck down. Use a hair dryer to soften the glue making it easier to remove both the cable and socket from the metal cover. This is me test fitting the cover after cutting the hole for the power cap (top left) The NFC socket is loose underneeth. And this is how that socket looks (orange arrow) when removed from the metal cover and loose. Be careful as its very short. In order to use the large battery I dremmel cut the transparent plastic frame. There are slimmer batteries that fit without cutting, I think I have some in stock, they are still a larger capacity than stock too. In order to use a 2 wire battery you need to solder a 100k resistor between T and - (gnd)

Thank you very much for the quick reply
You have clarified my doubts enough to be able to lift the connector of the NFC antenna, I will use a little hot air.
In principle I want to put a standard & compatible battery (if I get it) and I will replace the used one, just one more simple question, does the original battery only have two soldering points?
Thanks again and I keep reading you with enthusiasm all your mods.
Greetings and Happy New Year, take good care of you.
