I want one here too, it will need some custom pages adding for the Pros and Cons section etc. Your welcome to be a moderator if you can do or anyone else that has the time ?

frost15 , thanks for the reviews: I am on the fence between the GH5 and their low-cost siblings the LSA HP-2 I have both offers giving a 200 USD margin between the two... and still undecided if: 1) take the GH5 in normal version 2) GH5 in JM version 3) save 200 USD and get the LSA HP-2 instead Ditch everything and go for the Magni p.s. NPAudio, you had the GH5 but sold it, correct?

Yes, only because I looked like a dr who cyberman at work 😂 they sounded fantastic though 👍 So picky, aren't we? Ok, btw I am looking at the Baltic Blue option which to me is so cool.. My real doubt is about the fact I love "intimate" and almost "in the head" sound, while here it is rather "theatre"like rendition (if I got it right). Need to find a good replacement for my Denon 7200

I did like the bass, good extension and amount, and the sound is pretty refined to my ears.
Comfort not the best, small earpads and clamp is tight.

I liked the fit of 9200 so guess its identical to 7200 in that regard.

Intimate recordings such as Diana Krall's and Patricia Barber's sound very very close and the vocals are very intimate and wet but I would not define the sound as "in the head". As you said and as I mentioned in my review the JM horns cast the sound in a theatrical way and the sound is never in your face. Don't get it wrong though, they can sound wet and intimate but in a slightly different manner.

Thanks, I read about feeling like being some rows back in a theater, so I am worried about scene being too distant I love DK and EC Barlow so I know what you mean, the important for me would be to preserve that sense of "jazz club" if I do listen to Trio in Tokyo, say..

In my opinion that "jazz club" sense is still there. You are just one or two rows back from the front line. The difference is more palatable in some recordings that used to sound very "front line" like Coltrane's Blue Train. I guess it depends entirely on taste, but I'm in love with it.

frost15, thanks for the feedback. In the end I decided to pull the trigger on the JM modded... couldn't resist. It's the second "leap of faith" I am doing, the first one being the R2R2K, based on Q-6 impressions mostly. In this case it is based on JM and yours too... so you'll be liable for this. kidding. Thanks and btw I will need for sure some assistance on bending the arch! Let you know once I get them here...

matpar Nice!! It all started with John Massaria modification review. I took the leap of faith with his commentary and I could not be happier! I can't wait to see what you think about them!

frost15, just out of curiosity I was browsing around and found this on another forum: I guess as usual it comes all down to personal preferences, but how would you put your experience against this feedback? This just because I intended the JM mod to improve PRAT, while here the users seems to experience a worsening effect (?) thanks!

For me and other people that mod brought a pin point perfect accuracy. It does sound like an overtreated room (studio like) for some music, but I don't see that as a con or unnatural at all, I love it! I mean, we normally hear music played in such enviroments (studio, theater, audiences..) so...
