Unfortunately the R6 Gen III firmware will fall at the first hurdle and won't work on the R6 Gen II (2020) The Gen II is using the Snapdragon 660 SOC and the Gen III is using the Snapdragon 665 SOC. Ok. I'm trying to come up with ideas of how to get Android 12 on an R6 2020. Do you have any thoughts on that NPAudio ? The short answer: The only way is if Hiby release it. |

What do you think about the hardware on the GEN II and GEN III? They seem to be identical, internally and externally. I tried to look for the amps used for the GEN III, but couldn't find the components listed on the HiBy site. If they are identical internally, HiBy may have bottlenecked the amplification section of the GEN III like some of the European sold Sony DAPs. So it may be possible that the GEN III's power can be unlocked. If the DAPs aren't identical internally, I wonder if the amp can be replaced on the GEN III for more power. |

Hello All,
I am looking to root my R6 2020, but never used QFIL before. Tried QFIL 2.0.2.3/2.0.3.5 with "prog_emmc_ufs_firehose_sdm660_ddr.elf" (Tools=>Partition Manager) I keep getting "Download fail, Firehose Fail, FHLoader Fail, Process Fail. Can anyone please help me with this? Why can't I connect to my R6? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Never mind, It was a combination of USB cable and USB port/hub issue as suggested somewhere in the forum.
