Thank you for providing this, I have have a few questions about rooting my Hiby New R6: 1. The boot images I saved from QFIL is 64M, but after patched using Magisk 25.2, the patched images became 53.04M, way smaller than the original ones, is it normal? 2. Should I patched it with "Preserve force encryption" on? Thanks for joinging the forum, yes having a smaller size after being patched with magisk is conpletely normal. When you take a backup of the boot partition you are taking the whole partition which is 64mb so it contains both code and white space at the end. When magisk mounts this and patches it, it only writes back the coded area and no white space. Writing it back to your dap is fine as only functional code is written back, the white space is still there up to the end of the 64mb partition and is never accessed anyway. Yes just leave 'Preserve force encryption' on You could set it to off, your device ls userdata partition would still remain encrypted up until you reformatted it. Then it would be unencrypted and you could take a backup of the userdata partition and mount it and access it with no password/lock screen code required. It use to give a performance boost doing this with older SOCS but on modern SOCS benchmarks show no difference.

Здравствуйте, уважаемый администратор. Hiby прислали полноразмерную прошивку. Вопрос как и какой программой прошить устройство. Дайте ссылку. Помогите пожалуйста.

I understand correctly that you need to replace the patched boot.img with the original one. Then everything will return to the factory settings.

Hello! How to remove root from device. Return to a clean state. I will be grateful. Hi xzbit, which device ? It depends what you have changed and if you have access to ROMs. If you simply just flashed a magisk patched boot.img and made no changes to the system partition (i.e. only used magisk modules) then you can simply flash back your stock boot.img (flash to both boot_a and boot_b if your device has them) and then perform a factory reset. If you made changes to the system partition you will need to flash system (system_a and system_b if it has both, it may have neither and have a super partition instead). If you don't have a backup of system you can extract it from a downloaded ROM but then if you have a downloaded ROM you may as well just flash it, it will overwrite boot and system during the process. Then perform a factory reset. Note: If flashing whilst in android it's a good idea to flash a second time after rebooting if your device has A and B slots as it will then overwrite the opposite slot to what you are booted from.

Hiby New R6. What does it mean "have made changes to the system partition?" How to make a system backup?

I flashed the original boot.img back, but I can't upgrade to a new firmware that flew through the air. Why?

I flashed the original boot.img back, but I can't upgrade to a new firmware that flew through the air. Why? If anything has changed in system at all the the checksum wlll be different and so needs the stock system flashing also.
