Tks NPAudio for the courses! I've rooted my DX240, here's some usful technological process for those who's new & have troubles on rooting DX240 just like I did: 1、Prepare the corresponding verion boot.img(download the firmware, find it your own.), put it in DX240,any place. 1.02:cloud.189.cn/web/share?code=vmueiivQjUju (0pr2) 1.03:cloud.189.cn/web/share?code=rQZVZfFVVvM3 (cck8) 2、Install Magisk, choose the boot.img you placed in Modules, after created magisk_patchedxxxxxx.img, copy it to your computer in ADB file folder. 3、Open adb, connect DX240, type command with following steps:①adb shell②.\adb reboot bootloader(After reboot, DX240 will enter bootloader mode, you might install Android drivers in case your computer don't recognize your device)③.\fastboot flashing unlock(Comfirn & Root). After restared, connect DX240 to computer, do it again from①-②. 4、Flash the img you puted in ADB folder: .\fastboot flash boot magisk_patchedxxxxxx.img 5、Enjoy! Questions:After rooted ,I still can't use Viper4Android on DX240, I tried many methods and the software can't recognize drivers, what do i do? Is there any twrp for DX240 so I can flash the drivers in to it? Ginormous!

Is there any twrp for DX240 so I can flash the drivers in to it? Ginormous! Its a bit easier if you use the QFIL tool With dx240 off, hold play whilst plugging in usb Using QFIL Read the boot partion Copy it to dx240 Patch with magisk Copy back and flash the patched boot partition with QFIL I don't have a dx240 to try v4a but know it can be tricky or not work depending on the dap. Have you tried legacy?
You should have better luck with JamesDSP which also works with sample rates above 48khz unlike V4A
There is no TWRP and its not worth the effort to create one as its not required. You can backup the dap with QFIL and Magisk is used to flash modules systemlessly i.e. without writing to the system partition.

Has anyone had issues with re-locking and removing root? I tried to do this myself and successfully locked the bootloader. When I went to remove root, I used the Magisk method and now I am in bootloop with
"Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot
Visit this link on another device: g.co/ABH"
So I need to find a way to unbrick and flash the original image since I am making a sale for this device. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help

Hey Steve, Thanks so much! This worked like a charm. Really appreciate your help and all the resources you've shared here on this forum. Will be on here to discuss my next DAP or piece of kit. Cheers!

Hey Guys!! I wanted to say great work on the devices so far! I have a question. I am currently trying to root a Fiio M11 Plus and I have previous experience with flashing and edl fastboot and adb modes.
I currently am in a position where im unsure of how to get this DAP into edl mode or a mode where qfil will read its port and connect. I have the google usb driver installed for fastboot mode and I can adb reboot fastboot and it is successful and shows serial on fastboot devices command, but it won't connect to qfil this way.
I tried Fastboot reboot edl and I get a bad command and I tried 2 other commands to enter edl from fastboot to no avail.
**I did get an odd action on adb reboot edl as the dap will reboot but then chills for a moment then boots right back to system and never connects to qfil, so I'm not sure what I may be missing there.
If I can get into a qfil connected situation I know how to extract the boot.img or maybe both boot.img if this is an a/b config and then patch the boot.img on another device. ANY help is appreciated and I will be forever grateful! Thanks! So if anyone can point me into entering edl correctly for the m11 plus I will be golden

The M11Plus needs to be off (it's easier if the usb cable isn't attached at this point) 2. Turn on by holding Skip track first (the very top button) and then hold power (so basically the top button on either side) 3. The FiiO logo will come on and then go off - you can now let go of both buttons, the screen will stay blank, you are now in EDL mode. 4. Plug in your USB cable and QFIL should now say Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COMXX) or you may have to click select port first. You will need to patch your boot.img files via magisk on the device itself, or at least another FiiO M11Plus, don't patch it on your phone as magisk takes information from the device its running on to decide how to patch the boot.img. If you want to manually exit EDL mode, just keep holding power for 10-20 seconds. Or if frozen, do the same with power and play for 15-25 seconds

Thank you for this info. I was on the road working. I did however get this root complete by using the link I had found that took me to fastboot enhanced and was able to get my boot.img and I got it flashed in with that method.
I am now looking into any custom roms and or kernels to assist me in doing a little cpuset freq adjustments for overclocking. I found my files that set the available cpu freq and am currently using smartpack to check out the frequencies and govenors but fear I will have to have a custom kernel to allow slightly higher frequencies on the big/little/ cpu cores. Any info on these resources will be greatly appreciated for my m11 plus. Info on how to enter EDL correctly is gonna be invaluable, so thank you for that!
