Have the M11 Pro, don't care for the sound signature so much and my one also suffers from the display having issue as do others. This where the display has a large rectangle ghost image right in the middle, many attribute this to the heat from playback and charging, personally I believe it's more related to poor QC and choice of display source.
Obviously this issue does not effect SQ, however it's still really irritating as the M11 Pro is hardly a bottom tier product, something Fiio should have paid more attention in the first place. Worse it takes time to develop as what I believe happens is as the adhesives in the display laminate cure fully over time the distortion forms.
I don't think that Fiio designs and produces poor products, however they do need to slow down and get the details right at this level...

New FirmwareNotice: this version is still under beta testing phase, if everything works fine, we will release the offical firmware in a few weeks. And if you have any problem, please feel free to contact us at support@fiio.com. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Download link: M11-> fiio-file.fiio.net/M11-beta-20201223.zipM11Pro-> fiio-file.fiio.net/M11Pro-beta-20201223.zipM15-> fiio-file.fiio.net/M15-beta-20201223.zipUpdate note: 1. Added full-screen album cover display and spectrum display (can be set in FiiO Music settings -> Theme -> Now playing menu); 2. Added a new function of disabling the volume knob (This function is only for M15, it can be set in Settings -> Audio or in the pull-down shortcuts menu; And please note that when the volume knob is disabled, turning the knob will not directly adjust the volume but trigger the volume slider on the touch screen. In this case, you can adjust the volume using the volume slider, or control it through FiiO Link); 3. Added sorting by artist under the Album category; 4. Added displaying the total number of tracks in the track list; 5. Added a new function of switching between album list display or track list display under the Artist/Genre category; 6. Added support for using any image file as custom album cover; 7. Added a shortcut for toggling the All to DSD function in the pull-down shortcuts menu; 8. Added file sorting in FiiO Link mode; 9. Added sliding on the bottom control bar to skip tracks in FiiO Link mode; 10. Miscellaneous bug fixed.

was thinking about having an m11pro the question is for me is it going to be better than my dx220 soundwise? Depending on your AMP on the DX220 it's either a side or upgrade. Maybe a downgrade if you have amp8ex or better custom modded one. Speed performance is a definate upgrade. Both are rootable devices. If you like the Mango mode of the DX220 then the Fiio doesn't have that. The closest it comes is the pure music mode which just stops some background processes and prioritises the fiio player. Both sound better with Neutron to my ears, especially if you use eq.

Cough Cough from which site 😂
Not sure on your budget but the Shanling M6 Pro or Hiby R6 2020 are a great alternative if you need android (or bigger brothers M8 and R8 for TopEnd) If you don't need android then Cowon Plenue 2 MKii or Plenue L keepjng in line with the above costs HighEnd/TopEnd.

Not sure on your budget budget will be around £800-900 was also looking at cayin n6mkii Only modules I rate are T01 and E02 if you can get one with one of those instead of the most common A01 and having to fork out for another module. Definitely a speed increase, sound with one of those is an upgrade over AMP1. Against AMP8 maybe a side grade.
