I have an IER-M7 since september 2019.
Before it, i had bought the fiio FA7, which disbt impress me all with their super veiled tunning. I ended returning the FA7 within a week of purchase and got the M7 instead.
Tuning is warm with neutral mids and highs, bass feels like a dynamic driver but with the associated secay and speed of a BA.
Stage and separation felt always average, i tought well the M9 has an extra supertweeter BA and this one does not.
Holy cow, when plugging it in the DMP-z1, suddenly stage and separation became very what u was looking for. Wide and depth increased significanrly. Bass kicked even harder . A bit more sparkle came to live.
So M7 isn’t that bad after all, it only begs for power (very hungry)
