I create this thread to share my experience with earbuds, eartips or whatever you call them haha. My experience with In-ear phones had been always bad. I have relatively small ear canals and silicone eartips made my ears ache and sweat. I tried several sizes and shapes and ended up getting Campfire marshmallow in a desperate attempt to find something I could put in my ears for more than half an hour without feeling pain, sweating or even bleeding. They worked very good for a few weeks but they broke pretty easily... I loved them but their durability was a letdown. I tried other earbuds similar in texture to the marshmallows but they all seem to break apart pretty easily... So here I am wandering what should I do... Should I leave in-ear phones for good or is there any hope for me out there? I read a lot about custom eartips but I'm unsure if they would be the solution to my problem so I decided to post my thoughts here in order to see your opinions on the matter.

same here with a pair of xelastecs, the didn't last long until the inner part that attaches to nozzles became not grippy. Now back to my custom sleeves by the custom art

I would probably rephrase the title of this thread as earbuds usually refers to something like this that hangs in the outer ear whereas what you are talking about are in ear (or in ear canal) that have tips of some material and go into the actual ear canal

I know you can go custom molds for some IEMs, but for me they never worked.
After a short bit i feel irritation in my ear. It gets sore and i get a heated feeling in my ear. Even after taking them out i feel as if there is some inflammation or swelling similar to a sinus infection and this lasts at least a day.
I want to try things like the new senn iems, but i will forever be the fill sized headphone commuter.
