Very late starting this thread, maybe from my lack of interest in a slow Android Sony ? Also wouldn't NW-WM2A and NW-WM2Z have made more sence π€π Attachments:

So they upgraded the caps, added an aluminium/copper back cover and upgraded the battery, sounds familiar π€π

Yep. And apparently this time round the boards and everything inside is identical so you pay $2500 for 400 grams of gold plated milled copper and 128GB memory plus whatever software difference there might be to handicap the A as we found out with the old models.
I certainly have no interest in these, am very happy with my modded 1AZ with WalkmanOne fw

Has anyone compared the new offerings to a Modded 1A/1Z?

@nayparm Doubt it measures up to your work, but it'll be interesting to hear side by side impressions.

So many people would toss it at me like βok, a few components changes here and there, then why didnβt Sony do it to begin with ?β I guess now they have their answers LOL!

The Peanut Gallery is always the last one to come on board. Then they act like they knew it all along. Rinse Repeat.

Hi,
I'm searching the internet about the wm1am2 model to remove the sound cap and I can't find anything.... it may be soon but... Do you think there will be a solution to the volume limitation for EU models? either modified firmware or something else? Do you know of someone working on it?
it's a shame that such a powerful device sounds at half its power..

So far Iβve not seen any way of removing the volume cap on any of the current Sony Android daps after now several years so very unlikely to happen
