Hi all, Followed this thread from Head-fi where I modded my amp 12 to the 12w thanks to @ whitigir . Now the big question is what dose the DX312EX bring extra to the table? I take it from the Photos whitigir posted this mod is a lot more serious and is done on the DX300 it's self not the amp unit? I am good at soldering and component replacement (work in semi sector) but this could be out of my league, so what info could you give to me about this mod? There is very little on head-fi about it. I live in the UK so sending things to you would be no problem. Cheers guys for any info you can give me and have a great holiday  |

Doing the main body helps deliver the highest quality signal to the amp. So whilst they are completely seperate mods doing both brings the quality as high as possible. |

The only kicker is that the components are not available, it would be at 1.5 years or longer on lead time. Hence the reason why I haven’t posted at it yet |

An almost complete AMP12EX ( whitigir spec) Just waiting for the 10uf Silmic II, I thought I had some 🤔 At least they are available currently. Those with a keen eye will notice the 4 vertical mounted Vishay 😁👍 this was due to no stock anywhere of the correct package sized ones. This actually works out well as these are higher spec 😉 |
