Which are obsolete already ย View AttachmentView AttachmentWhatever happened to the Muses05, I thing NJR were bought by Ricoh and is now Nisshinbo ๐คทโโ๏ธ Maybe they have scrapped the audio opamps ๐ณ Yepe, Nisshinbo now! What do you guys think about modding potential of next amp14?!? Loops like alot less space. Hopefully it will have as much power as amp12

What do you guys think about modding potential of next amp14?!? Loops like alot less space. Hopefully it will have as much power as amp12 Yeah I saw this last night, its a surprise release. The AMP13 mod was really good and very well received but bought mainly by forum lurkers as opposed to posters. So I'll probably be looking along the same lines as the AMP13 mod but space will be a challenge. It will be interesting to see the underside. If power is still lacking OPA1656 could be the answer. The current out of those is 3 times the ADA4625-2. I've been using the OPA1655 (single channel version) successfully in the AMP12 mods. A customer preferred the OPA1655 version with his multidriver iems and the ADA4625-1 version with single drivers.

A customer preferred the OPA1655 version with his multidriver iems and the ADA4625-1 version with single drivers. Sadly it seems to be weaker than amp11 still: And I could only translate this from google: "AMP14 performs voltage amplification through the Nutube tube, Has a strong bilious taste, full bodied, Integrating JFET load sharing technology Realize L+,L-,R+,R- four balanced output In order to be more reasonable thought sound effects, AMP14 uses two JRC volume control chips Responsible for four-way volume balance adjust Finally, drive the earphones through the four-way buffer Select the industry benchmark Pentaconn original factory 4mm balance socket excellent acoustics, Durable" So another user on headfi thankfully posted images: Top: Bottom: So it looks like less space on top, and lager surface mount caps underneath. Hopefully mods can help with output.

After updating dx320 Firmware to 2.04, which gives better soundstage, I am thinking that with amp14 this unit can further expand soundstage.
