I also found Line out setting at Max volume to be true in vendo build prop, but I can’t change it. It will fall back to standard when restarted

from a terminal (their is one in smartpack kernel manager)
you can should be able to type:
setprop ro.vendor.darwinsettings off
and
setprop ro.vendor.darwinsettings yes
2 icons to 2 scripts can be done
Are you saying you don't have the atmosphere enhanced ?
maybe a typo or maybe needs a return at the end of the line if its your last line.
typing:
setprop ro.vendor.bass_boost yes
in terminal should turn it on

Yes Atmosphere enhanced definitely work and as you said, boosting low end a bit depends on tracks. That harmonic controller also works.
Now, to figure a way to turn off Darwin controller so ROHM automatically fal back o to it standard filters

NOS also works, it definitely doesn’t give off that vastly differences between NOS and OS as the other stuff from different DAC and stuff. But it is definitely discernible. Nos and filters effects are taking effects after 1-1.5 seconds delay or so. That is where to observe the differences once switching different options I am thinking that I am loving NOS here with Darwin setting, harmonic controller to max and atmosphere enhanced on. But once I turned off the NOS, I definitely prefer ROHM standards instead. All of the non NOS filters are hardly discernible, but if one pay enough attentions, then the differences between ROHM vs Darwin is observable, and that ROHM standards is a better choice  |

I found out that NOS works best with Neutron using Zero Oversampling also, and coincidentally when using ROHM standard filters OS, Neutron with 16X is amazing as well 🤔

Enabling Darwin also works on the Hiby R8 and should also work with the Hiby R6 2020

Also, is there a way to cheat Cayin and have P+ with class A together ? 😆 I am not familiar with Hiby, but do they use SOC to process interpolations and antialiasing ? Or do they use FPGA |

I think I understand why NOS doesn’t sound as other systems that does NOS/OS ways drastically differences
It may be that the ROHM still engages it own filters in the while the external filters applied by SOC toward the digital audio processing before passing on to the ROHM.
In a sense, all of these filters are in addition of ROHM filters, so NOS is still pretty much OS in a sense. The customizable filters may have to be programmed within the ROHM chip itself. Not sure if and how ROHM planned on that to be carried out.
Also, the ROHM when at the Pass-over mode, does not engage it own filters, which I don’t think we can enable

Playing with system wide MSEB now. It is safe to say that I am much happier with ROHM standard filters without Darwin, and just add in MSEB.
This MSEB is an amazing system wide EQ, or should I say that it is amazing DSP. Significantly changes up the sound performances.
This gets heavily effected when tuned with Neutron Oversampling ATM. I don’t get why it is what it is :/
