Midnight v2 (for A40)
Based on the WM1A/Z firmware, with greatly improved sound quality!
• Your device configuration prior to installing this firmware will be backed up internally and replaced. This means you'll notice different player options being set/audio played hours, which is normal. • The device configuration will be restored when using the StockRevert package to how it was before installing this firmware (including audio played hours). As always, you'll have to revert back to stock before installing this. Read more info and download this firmware here.

There was an unforeseen issue with the mod, which was fixed. If you managed to install the unfixed Midnight v2 for ZX300 and you have display-related issues, send me a PM please. |

Just did a battery stamina test on my A55 with the new Midnight fw in PlusV2 mode playing 16/44 flac in Source direct 60 on the volume. From 90% (I use the battery care option) to shut down it played about 39 hours. Very impressive

The Dawn Classic plus the Modded 1A is the best DAP I have heard so far, per my preferences. Thank you for all your hard work, I have been enjoying music on this player immensely. |

for the WM1A and WM1Z players!Thanks again to Nayparm for his generous donation of a WM1A (after having to sell mine, unfortunately).
The update wouldn't have been possible otherwise!This firmware integrates the Midnight and Dawn sound signatures as "Warm"and "Bright", and adds a "Neutral" sound signature, as well as the WM1Z sound. The Bright/Dawn signature that can be found in this firmware was not previously released as standalone. The "Neutral" sound signature is a combination of Midnight and Dawn. You can choose your sound signature from the settings file. For more info about the settings file, firmware installation and reverting to stock, and more, please check out the FAQ section. MrWalkman , there seems to be a problem with the ext_tuning of the new named "bright". The installer asks me to connect the player through the USB cable when it's indeed already connected. I installed the One Fw with no problems and I managed to install the Warm & Neutral ext_tuning aswell so I think it's an installer (bright) related problem. Edit: Solved MrWalkman ! I had not read the new instructions, which prompt you to select the sound signature first and then install the ext_tuning

There was a little issue with the Walkman One release, which was fixed, and the download link on the website was updated.
Long story short, don't try to switch the sound signature from Bright to WM1Z. In case you did and you have issues with your player, please PM me.
If you currently have Walkman One installed, I strongly recommend using the StockRevert package, and then reinstalling Walkman One from the new download link, which works fine when switching from Bright to WM1Z.
