Just tried the MX3 region.....damn I have been missing out on this. Sounds very dynamic, and balanced, both at the same time. My new favorite region for sure If you're on the Walkman One firmware, this also matters, as the WM1A/Z firmware sounds better overall.

I tried the newest firmware, but the best match for my planars, is the Dawn V3. It sounds fantastic, about as live as a portable can sound. The bright tuning on the walkman one, sounds like an exaggerated stage.. top to bottom. I don't know how you are tuning it, but the dawn V3 is acoustically correct, and has more front to back layering. Dawn V3 does not sound like I even have iems in my ears. Love that tuning. MX3 is a very very good match with it, sounds better than both J and U regions I was previously using.

Sony Wm1z: Did anyone compare The Walkman One firmware versus DMP WM1 FE+? What are the differences? Well thank you.

The Walkman One firmware is basically 4 firmware versions into one. You have the option to choose between 4 sound signatures.

Yes it's true. And a combination of headphones and cables. I have to try. I also want to make a hardware mod. Capacitors ...

Yeah. All I can say is MrWalkman deserves an award for his work. I never ever dreamt of having this kind of quality on a portable device. Right now I don't even feel the need for a non-portable DAC. I'm set for life haha

Pure bliss, this level of portable sound quality is amazing to have in your pocket. 30 hours of battery life, 1TB of High Res music, and its off to the races. 🙏🙏🙏 everyone that contributed to the banned headfi thread, I have ZERO interest in even trying another DAP.

Random question, but does anyone know if there's an easier way of getting lyrics onto the ZX300/1A OS?
Part of me feels that it can't be as harrowing as creating a separate file for every single song and having to add time stamps to every line in a song, but this is Sony after all....
If this is the only way, I might have to go without unless it's an album I absolutely adore...

Lrc files is the standard for lyrics with digital music files and used by many software and hardware products to enable lyrics to be shown while music is playing so I don't think you are going to find any other way. After all you have to tell the player at what points in time to show the lyrics. The extended lrc format even allows/requires timestamps for each word
