Lrc files is the standard for lyrics with digital music files and used by many software and hardware products to enable lyrics to be shown while music is playing so I don't think you are going to find any other way. After all you have to tell the player at what points in time to show the lyrics. The extended lrc format even allows/requires timestamps for each word Do you know of any site's that have LRC files pre-made for download or is it very much a manual job? This is supposedly one such site www.lyricfinder.orgthough I don’t have any experience with it as I don’t bother with lyrics

Awesome! Thanks for that link MrWalkman! As a point of interest for others, I found an online LRC Generator. www.lrcgenerator.comThe site is pretty basic, copy and paste is obviously standard but the real genius is the "Sync to Music" feature where you play a song in the background and simply hit "next line" and it generates the time stamps for you. Obviously the downside is that it has to be generated in real-time by the end user but it's a solution if you can't find any remade LRC files anywhere else. Hope it helps!

A nice visitor of the nwmods.ml website contacted me recently about the possibility of making the NW-A50 "Love Live! Sunshine!!" edition's modified icons available to other players as well. Fortunately, that is possible, so installers for these Walkman players will come soon. The icons will work with the stock firmware, as well as with the custom firmware, with no issues. This is a WM1A with those icons: These special edition NW-A50 players are selling for as much as $400 on eBay, so I'd say that it's gonna be nice to have this on your player without having to pay that much.

I don't listen to music for some days, sometimes, and I think I know how the WM1A sounds, and I feel I'm not necessarily in the mood to listen to music. I am using the WM1Z sound signature, with Plus v2 mode, and for now I am trying the J3 region (which will be available in an update). Then I decide to listen to some music with the Z7M2 on the balanced port anyways, and I'm getting surprised yet again. Awesome sounding device! Such an open, natural, and life-like sound! Hi Mr.Walkman. When you use words like update, J3, you really have my attention. I’m a big fan of reg. J, but the compressed bass and veiled treble is really distracting. Could J3 be all that, but with a better Low/high end (like in MX3)?

Among other stuff, like new regions and sound signatures, this is more or less how the next boot logs will look like: They'll be local HTML pages ( that don't access/require internet), that can be opened in any internet browser. In this way they should be more readable, with more visible clues if something is not as it should be. For each booting process, there'll be a separate boot log - this should help figuring out where to look when the player starts and you want to check if everything worked fine regarding the settings file. I'll probably make it so only the last 10 or 20 boot logs will be kept, for storage saving purposes, though they shouldn't get to more than a few kilobytes.

Can I ask a silly question? I am an old geezer!! I have installed Walkman one, how do I use the WM1Z firmware on my WM1A? You edit the settings.txt file to use the WM1Z tuning, reboot the player and then run the 1Z tuning. But as I remember this is the default setting when you first install the WalkmanOne fw so if you followed the instructions you should already be on it

So I use Apple music to sometimes stream to the Sony NW-WM1 through the DAC feature. I also use Sony MDR-Z1R as my headphones. Any advice on best settings to get the best sound out of this set up? I did seem to get better sound from Amazon HD, but I only did the 1 month trial.
