The fw.modd are a genius, ripped the froberger AEOLUS edition v. 6 SACD as 16/44 flac with pc. Also can confirm clean throbbing bass with the distortion I heard back in 2018 August is not present (the only diff between DSD and flac 16bit is the leaner bass of the latter and also lack of microderailing)

Lost the first bar on a 100% charged battery after 14 hours play time and 3 days stand by Lost the second bar after a further 6 hours play time and 1 days standby. The battery bars are clearly not proportional. I experienced the same on the A55 with R FE fw (have not tried any other fw) where the first and the last bar each deliver about 30-35% of the play time and the 2nd and 3rd bar each deliver about 15-20% play time

I'll keep reporting but yeah, something seems wrong with the battery reading.

I just lost the second bar after 6 hours more of playback and 1 day and a half of standby aprox. Definitely will try other method next time because the battery is lasting less than it should. All playback is FLAC 16/44 (except one album that was 24/48)

So 3 bars has given 27 hours play time and 6 days stand by with source direct playing 16/44 flac on 50 high gain and screen on 1

I just lost the 3rd bar after 7 hours of play time and 1 day standby. That means I got 24 hours and 4 and a half days of standby by now. I'll report back when the 'Charge the device' message prompts, but I feel I'm going to have between 33 and 38 hours this time, so I'll try something different in the next run.

How would a stock battery behave under those same tests I wonder. I recently tested 2 WM1A with stock battery from full charge to empty playing a 96khz 24bit FLAC on repeat, low gain, volume 80, Direct Mode. 1 lasted 32:18 2 lasted 31:24

I was getting 23 hours of play time on a 90% charge.

It would totally suck if it was a fw related issue because there is no debate for me, the DMP-Z1 FE is the best sounding fw by far.

That would be weird, as I'm having no issues, and if others would have, they would've mentioned I guess.
It's good to do the test though, just to rule out any possibility.
